The backbone of EPLC’s choir structure is our adult choir the Sanctuary Chorale. This 25 member group of singers, (high school age and beyond) is scheduled to sing at one service each week and at all Festival services. Rehearsals are held on Thursday evenings from 7:00 – 8:45pm in the choir room. The choir sings a wide variety of music from classical to contemporary, based on texts chosen for each Sunday and in keeping with the basic theology of the Lutheran Church. The Sanctuary Chorale sings most Sundays at 8:00 or 9:45am worship.
Comprised of about 12 adult handbell ringers, this group rehearses on Tuesday evenings at 6:30pm in the church balcony. They play for worship once or twice monthly, for one Lenten service, and at some church festivals.
The Good News Singers are a women’s ensemble directed by Laverne Myers and Cornelia McLean. This group sings once each month during worship and also performs in the community. The Good News Singers rehearse Thursday afternoons at 2:00pm and sing music in a contemporary style.
